Don't think I've ever been so happy to return back from vacation and step foot into Canadian soil.  After being through Hurricane Wilma, it is definitely a welcoming site to fly back into Pearson Airport (T.O.) from Cancun yesterday night and then into Vancouver this morning.

I have to thank God for being with all 4 of us throughout the whole trip and keeping us safe through the trip.  Thank you to all those who have prayed for us.

Praise God for answered prayers!  I was desperately trying to find a gym that we can book on Sundays for the LIGHT Sports Ministry as all the community centers I called in Vancouver and Burnaby were pretty much all booked.  However, God being the wonderful God that He is, came through!  Time and time again, when you put your faith in Him, He never lets you down!

Ok, below is my plug for this coming Sunday's activity

Dodge Ball

Need to get some exercise while fellowshipping with some great people?  We have tentatively booked the gym at Champlain Heights Community Center every Sunday (until further notice) starting this coming Sunday, Oct 2.  Every week we will have different activities.  For Oct 2, we will be playing dodge ball.

If you haven't checked out argonauts xanga page already, here's a copy of his last posting...

New Small Group

Do you have questions about the Christian faith?  Questions that can range anywhere from "who is Jesus" to "if God exists, why is there suffering in the world" to "why doesn't an all-powerful God prevent innocent people from dying unjustly"?  Our small group is tailored towards young adults seeking God, or new Christians who want to strengthen their faith.  We will be doing a book study from "Know Why You Believe" by Paul E. Little and/or "The Case for Faith" by Lee Strobel.  Our planned schedule per month is to do 3 weeks of book study and 1 week of a social activity where we can have the opportunity to reflect on God's beautiful creation.

Small Group Leaders:  Argonauts and Randominspirations

Meeting Times:  Every Tuesday evening from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Meeting Place:  Tentatively at Fraserlands

Just came back from a 1 week vacation to the East Coast on one of those Chinese bus tours... Yes, the tours where they rush you from one place to the other in order to try to squeeze in as many tourist attractions as possible.  Though I was hesitant to go on the tour, I ended up deciding to go b/c it enabled me to spend time with my family.  Highlights of the trip:

  • Meeting up with one of my best friends who lives in T.O.  I haven’t seen him for over 2 yrs.  He helped bring me to Christ and I will never forget all that he’s done for me while I was living in Sauga.
  • Going on the Maid of the Mist and seeing Niagara Falls up close.  It was so surreal that I couldn’t help but marvel at God’s beautiful creation.
  • Learning what it means to go beyond one’s call of duty and taking that extra step to help someone out even when it’s not their job to do so.  God always seems to send us angels in disguise.
  • Going to St. Joseph’s church in Montreal and seeing a rainbow framed perfectly surrounding the church as if the church was being watched over from above.
  • Being thankful that I missed the storm in the GTA by 1 day otherwise I probably would've had a postponed flight out of T.O. which won't be till the next day.
  • Coming back home to good 'ol Vancouver and seeing my friends again  :)

These past few weeks, I'm once again reminded that everything is up to God's will and that God knows what is best for you.  Therefore, regardless of any hurt where you feel like blaming God for it, in the end God is always looking out for your best interest.  Praise Him for always being there and for His unconditional love.

From Caperwray to the Teens Camp, it has truly been a blessing fellowshipping with the "adults" along with the teens.  I love camp!  :)
